ECHO268 — Echocardiography Clinic II
In this course students will scan the heart and peripheral vasculature in a hospital or clinic setting. Students will learn how to produce and interpret normal and pathological echocardiograms of the heart. This is an extension of the learning that the student obtained during the first term. Imaging of the heart will be accomplished utilizing such modalities as doppler, color doppler, m-mode, EKG, and 2- dimensional imaging. Open only to matriculated Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography students. NOTE: Students are given either a pass or fail grade for this course with no quality points awarded. If the student’s clinical performance is unsatisfactory or if at any time the student compromises the safety of a patient, the student will be terminated from the program.
