ECMN101 — Direct Current Theory

This course provides a study of the basic principles and theories associated with electricity as they apply to the electrical construction and maintenance field. Topics include electrical units, the concepts of voltage, current, resistance and power, as well as Ohm’s law. The fundamentals of series, parallel and combination circuits are covered in detail. Concepts and theories involving voltage drop, energy, efficiency of electrical systems, and basic electronics are also discussed.
