EMSP100 — Emergency Medical Technician Basic

The Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) program combines didactic, psychomotor labs, and clinical observation and/or field internship in a progressive manner to prepare students to provide emergency care to patients in an out-of-hospital setting based on New York State Department of Health and U.S. Department of Transportation mandates. NOTE: Students who are not 17 years old by the course end date will not be eligible to take the New York State EMT-B Certification exam. EMT-B Certification is required to work or volunteer as an EMT in New York State. Consult with the department for further information.
