PHYS210 — Fundamentals of GIS
This one-semester course will focus on the conceptual, cartographic and scientific underpinnings of GIS, emphasizing hands-on skills of data collection, manipulation, and presentation using GIS software. The laboratory focuses on using scientific method and critical thinking in the use of GIS for natural science applications through map-making, interpretation and spatial analysis. Pre- or co- requisite(s): MATH 150 College Algebra with Trigonometry .
