POLS215 — Honors Current Issues in Politics

This course will analyze a major, contemporary political topic. Students will learn a political science analytic framework and apply this framework to develop a deeper understanding of the issue. At the discretion of the course instructor and as current events warrant, topics will change with each course offering. Potential topics include race and American politics; religious rights under the Constitution; free speech; Presidential elections and the Electoral College; the politics of gun control; and others. Open to students in the Honors College or by permission of the instructor or department chair.
