SONO284 — Introduction to Vascular Sonography
This is an introductory course that exposes students to carotid, peripheral venous and peripheral arterial examinations. A study of segmental pressures, ultrasonic imaging techniques, and plethysmography will be introduced. A study of patient histories and physical signs, patient preparations, anatomy, basic hemodynamics, duplex Doppler imaging, and color doppler techniques are a few of the areas to be covered. Basic generalized pathology of the vascular system will be covered. Open only to matriculated Diagnostic Medical Sonography students. Terms all Distance Learning: No Lecture: 2
