ASE 0830 — GED Healthcare Bridge

This course is designed for students who take the CASAS test 9th grade level and above. The contextualized course offers the adult learner the opportunity to learn reading, writing, and math skills necessary to understand and apply information in the healthcare industry and/or additional postsecondary education. Students will learn about healthcare content in reading, writing, and math using a variety of healthcare text materials. In addition, students will explore their strengths, experiences, and traits to guide them in setting specific career goals. Students will gain a working knowledge of the healthcare industry, including basic requirements and expectations, communication in the workplace, the job search process, as well as job retention and career advancement.
