CMI 1216 — SCSR/Smoke Training
Title 30, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 48, requires that each miner be trained in the proper donning procedures for oxygen-producing self-contained self-rescue devices (SCSRs). Trainees then must demonstrate their competence by satisfactorily donning an SCSR using the "3+3" method and transferring to a second SCSR in smoke, simulated smoke or equivalent environment.
