EGR 2111 — Thermodynamics

Introduction and application to the laws of thermodynamics, analysis of closed and open systems, introduction to heat transfer, Carnot principle, engine power plants, and refrigeration applications. Topics include basic concepts and definitions of thermodynamics, the first and second laws of thermodynamics, ideal and real gas behaviors, control-volume energy analysis, entropy, non-reactive ideal gas mixtures and psychrometrics, and cycles. Lecture.
