EPM 1205 — Basic Life Support CPR

This course prepares students to recognize and respond to cardiac and respiratory arrest and foreign-body airway obstruction. The course will enable students to recognize and respond to heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children utilizing cardiopulmonary resuscitation where appropriate. Training regarding the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and the two-rescuer CPR system will also be introduced.
