GEN 1111 — Student Government
This course introduces students to the role of student governance in higher education through Student Senate, Student Government, Student Council, or similar governance and leadership organizations. Students learn about the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges' organizational structure, historical and guiding documents, and decision-making positions and bodies. It incorporates leadership management skills into the curriculum. This course requires social, cultural, educational, and/or recreational participation. One-half to three credits will be awarded each time student successfully completes the course. Total number of credit that may be applied to a degree shall be three credits. Lecture / Lab. Variable.
