HIT 1204 — Diagnostic Coding Fundamentals
This course introduces the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), ICD-10-CM, and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), emphasizing the rules, regulations, and techniques used to code clinician and medical services. Special emphasis is placed on coding conventions, appropriate use of modifiers, and coding resources when accurately assigning CPT/HCPCS codes to health records.
