LSC 1101 — General Biology I
This is a general introduction to the evolutionary study of life. A brief history of biology, natural selection, cell theory, cell structure and function, chemistry of life, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, cell division, patterns of inheritance, DNA, biotechnology, developmental biology and reproduction will be included. Related laboratory exercises will be incorporated. This course is the first class in an introductory sequence for biological sciences majors.
