UAS 1201 — Unmanned Aerial Systems I
This course is an introduction to unmanned systems operations. Course includes a historical perspective and background information of the system including: FAA authority over unmanned aircraft, unmanned aircraft system registration, safety considerations, model aircraft operations, commercial drone operations, commercial drone operator and training/certification, and crew resource management. This course also exposes students to the significant regulations impacting unmanned systems operations and prepares the student to take the FAA Small UAS Remote Pilot Knowledge test.
