CIM 181 — INTRODUCTION TO NETWORKS (CCNA 1 & NETWORK+)
This course examines the concepts of networking protocols, hardware, and security. It covers Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), networking hardware, network security, and the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) suites of layered network protocols. This course is designed to prepare students for the industry-standard CompTIA Network+ Certification Exam and is the first in a series of three Cisco networking courses that prepares students for the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Certification Exam.
