ART 125 — Three-Dimensional Design

Three-Dimensional Design is a studio course concentrating on expanding student knowledge of space as it relates to the physical world. Instruction is given in the fundamental elements and principles of design, as well as the artistic use of form, structure, space, volume, mass, plane and line. Emphasis will be placed on developing critical thinking skills in order to solve three-dimensional design problems. Media will vary, but will include materials that lend themselves to additive and subtractive methods. Materials may include found objects and prefabricated materials, joining materials, modeling and carving supplies.
