BIO 217 — Vertebrate Biology 1
This course is the study of fishes, amphibians and reptiles, including identification, taxonomy, anatomy, physiology, reproduction, and behavior. Special emphasis will be placed on identification and ecology of species native to Northern New York and species commonly found in zoos. Conservation and diversity of fish, amphibian, and reptile populations will be considered. Lecture and laboratory activities will be supplemented by required field trips.
