CLS 101 — Critical Reading and Thinking
This course is designed to instruct students in effective reading skills and critical thinking skills that are essential to meet the demands of college-level courses. Emphasis is placed on the development of college-level working vocabulary and inferencing skills and strategy application to college texts. This course will focus on improving reading and critical thinking proficiency and appreciation for extensive and varied reading, writing, listening and thinking exercises. This course will help prepare students for critical thinking and research across the curricular disciplines.
