ENG 152 — Mystery: Introduction to Crime Culture
ENG 152 focuses on crime fiction. ENG 152 students will develop their critical thinking skills and hone abilities in literary analysis by engaging with a variety of written and visual texts. Additionally, the course will provide students with a history of the mystery/detective genre, exposure to a variety of media within which the mystery has successfully emerged and developed, and the vocabulary with which to intelligently discuss such media. Students will analyze connections between texts and the cultures and historical moments that produced those texts.
