This course explores the U.S. Health Care System focusing on historical development, current configuration, and possible future directions. Includes study of health system development, key influencers, accessibility, financing, changing components and the effects of the system on patients, providers, government, insurers and society. Role of population health management and public health is explored, including impact of social, cultural, economic, and environmental factors on the health care systems and practices.
