This course is designed to allow students to read a topographical map, plot aximuths and courses, and navigate a trail successfully. Students will be responsible for planning and navigating multiple day hikes with proper gear. The students will plan and prepare meals for the group and discuss wilderness safety and personal health issues. Students will also demonstrate proper wilderness etiquette while following the Leave No Trace philosophy.
