PED 196 — Wilderness Camping
Wilderness Camping is an activity class designed to provide basic fundamentals of camping. The class will involve students in the planning, resourcing, and safely conducting an overnight camping trip. The students will plan and prepare meals for the group and discuss wilderness safety and personal health issues. Students will also demonstrate proper wilderness etiquette while following the “Leave No Trace” philosophy. Strong emphasis will be placed on the appropriate relationship between people and the natural environment.
