PHI 101 — Introduction to Philosophy

In this introductory level course, major philosophical questions will be examined to acquaint the student with the historical and structural foundations of Western thought. Emphasis will be placed upon the assumptions and methods of inquiry used by major philosophers, and a procedure for comparative analysis will be developed. Parallels will be drawn from history, art, literature, science, and technology to illustrate the thought structure of the age under discussion.
