PLA 213 — Constitutional Law and American Society

This course will trace the American historical experience through an examination of major Supreme Court decisions. The course will focus on the impact of those decisions on political, economic, and cultural implications of American institutions and diversity groups by using a case study approach. The course examines Supreme Court decisions that affect America’s relationships with the rest of world. Supreme Court decisions from key U.S. Constitutional provisions such the 14th Amendment, Bill of Rights, Commerce Clause, and Articles 1, 2 and 3 will be the main focus of the course.
