POL 205 — Power in the U.S.

An examination of the structure of power in American society and its relations to political ideas and institutions, the economy and foreign policy. Attention is focused on the viability of present political processes, the gains and costs of the American political economy and the role of citizens and non-governmental institutions in contemporary American life. Where possible, a seminar approach will be used.
