PSY 239 — Death and Dying
This course presents a sociological and psychological examination of death, dying and bereavement. Areas of emphasis include cultural factors in attitudes toward death, the processes of dying and grieving, end-of-life care, and legal issues surrounding death and dying. Death is examined as a part of life, with the idea that learning to communicate about death will improve the quality of life and our relationships.
