Agronomy & Environmental Science Degree
The Agronomy & Environmental Science AAS degree will be focused and specialized to prepare students for entry into the agriculture industry in numerous roles. This degree will give the students a more intensive approach to preparation for entry into the agriculture industry as chemical or fertilizer applicators, agronomists, soil science technicians, seed sales, chemical sales, fertilizer sales, plant genetics and breeding, production agriculture etc. Students will focus on management, precision agriculture, soil sciences, plant sciences, field crop scouting and disease identification, among other requirements. This program aligns with students’ career goals that are preparing to enter the agri-business industry and their associated career pathways, while still providing them with a broad enough approach to be diversified and flexible.
