Talk to an advisor about planning your course schedule Early Childhood: Students completing the two-year early childhood program enter the profession assuming responsibility for the care and education of an individual group of young children in various settings such as a child care center, preschool, nonpublic kindergarten, before-and/or after-school child care programs or family day care homes. Each student majoring in Early Childhood Education is required to complete one semester of Practicum that includes in-person placement. This class is ECES 200. Students are placed in Practicum sites which must be approved by the coordinator. ECES 200 students can complete their practicum at the student's workplace or
