The Health Information Technology (HIT) degree is a four-semester program which begins each fall semester. Graduates of the HIT program are awarded an Associate in Applied Science degree and students are prepared for entry level employment in the Health Information Management Field. The program is taught online and includes both online classroom education as well as Professional Practicum Experiences. The Professional Practicum Experience (PPE) is completed at a healthcare facility close to your home. Our faculty will work with you to secure a suitable site in your local area. The coursework in this program can be completed 100% online, with some in-person requirements. Talk to an advisor about planning your course schedule.
