Practical Nursing Certificate

Students who are accepted into the Practical Nursing program are introduced to the role of the Practical Nurse (PN) and provided resources and instruction which, when incorporated into nursing practice, will result in safe and effective care being provided to patients in a variety of healthcare settings. The PN curriculum is a three-semester program that provides courses in Nursing theory and clinical that contain content students must learn to be successful on the Licensed Practical Nurse National Licensure Exam (NCLEX-PN). LPNs work in a variety of healthcare settings giving direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
