ACC115 — Accounting for Business

This survey of accounting course prepares the student to read and analyze financial statements to understand the financial health of a business. Students will learn to analyze transactions in a service business and in a merchandising business with respect to sales, accounts receivable and accounts payable, depreciation, and payroll. The focus of this course is to understand the numbers from a manager’s perspective rather than the accountant’s process.

Prerequisites: MAT111, BUS101, CPT115
