ART150 — 3D Design and Printing (H)

Combining art and technology, this course includes an overview of the history of 3D printing in the arts and teaches students a variety of techniques—including 2D-to-3D, 3D-to-2D, 3D scanning, parametric and free-form modeling, dual-material, articulation, printed fabric, etc.—with which they will create their own 3D dimension artwork. Students will express their personal ideas and styles, using a variety of design software applications—including Tinkercad, Meshmixer, and Shapr3D—and automated additive fabrication techniques.
