ENG220 — American Literature I: Native American Story Traditions through the 18th Century (H)

This course provides an introduction to American literature from its earliest recorded origins to the end of the 18th century. Through close reading and analysis of selected texts from a diverse authorship, students will examine the ways in which these works reflect and shape the cultural, historical, and social contexts of their time.

Prerequisites: ENG101, ENG102, ENG108, ENG109
