HIT245 — Seminar in Health Information Technology

This is a capstone course designed to review professional and practical skills that includes the connection between professionalism and professional/ personal ethics and applying them in an independent project. Students will be expected to develop a project plan; establish goals and objectives; collect and analyze information; and prepare and deliver an oral presentation. The course also includes a concentrated program course review in preparation for the national certification exam which will include a Mock RHIT exam. Career planning will also be included in this course.

Prerequisites: HIT201, HIT210, HIT211
