HUM215 — Gender Studies (H)
This introductory course will explore the history of gender studies through exploring feminism and the women’s movement, the men’s rights movement, gender theory, transgender and non-binary identities, gender-based violence, reproductive justice, and more. We will investigate what it is like to be a man, woman, intersex, or trans person in the United States. Students will be asked to reflect upon their own understanding of gender as well as their own personal beliefs, values, and opinions about gender .
