BIO 2100 — Comparative Anatomy

Form, structure, classification, and adaptive modifications of vertebrates, animals with backbones. Through dissections, representative vertebrates (dogfish and cat) are studied; vertebrates' major body systems and development of various representative structures are compared; relationships between form and function, and the use of certain structures in specific environments. This course satisfies the elective credit requirement for Biology majors.
