LAART 100 — Invitation to the Liberal Arts
This is a one credit seminar course for liberal arts majors taught by faculty from the college?s liberal arts departments. This course will introduce students to the distinctive background, goals, and practices of the liberal arts, as well as provide students with a map of the major as it exists at Kingsborough, including the role of liberal arts concentrations. This course will provide students with opportunities to actively practice the habits of mind that are central to a liberal arts education, to connect with a community of liberal arts students and faculty, and to reflect on their own academic goals and learning processes.
