MAT 8130 — IS Intro Math Concepts Proof
Independent Study: This course introduces majors in mathematics to the critical skill of reading and writing formal proofs; and serves as a bridge to the more advanced mathematics they will study at the baccalaureate level and beyond. Expected topics include: basic set theory, logic counting principles, direct proof, contrapositives, contradictions, non-conditionals, counterexamples, induction, relations, functions, and cardinality.
