Seamanship theory and fundamentals of vessel operations, including vessel handling, piloting, major phases of applied engineering technology, operating rigging and deck machinery. Extensive on-board training for operations in tight quarters and open sea. Consideration of Coast Guard procedures, towing, vessel stability and meteorology. Note: Open only to Maritime Technology Majors
