ARC 207 — Design Studio-Commercial

Focuses on the creation, documentation, and presentation of an original (commercial) design solution using 3D modeling software and BIM. Work will begin from a program spreadsheet and proceed through diagrammatic programming, iterative schematic-design-level documents and presentations, and culminate in a single design-development-level document and presentation to a jury. Emphasis is placed on iterative design and presentations with which a hypothetical client might alter and ultimately choose a single solution for development. Includes solving basic design issues related to programming, building code, structure, site development, client's aesthetics, lighting, etc. Arts & Sciences Elective Code: B
