PNN 228 — Foundations of Nursing I
Focuses on the care of older adults experiencing health alterations that require medical interventions. Emphasizes the knowledge, competencies, and skills necessary to provide safe, evidence-based nursing care. Applies the nursing process as a decision-making framework to support the development of effective clinical judgment skills. Integrates pathophysiology, pharmacology, and nutrition in relation to selected disease states, while promoting evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, safety, cultural sensitivity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professionalism.
