ELC 101 — Elementary Modern Chinese I
This course is for beginners of Modern Chinese (Mandarin) and aims to develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Chinese. An understanding of Chinese culture is also nourished through the examination of cultural practices andperspectives. Students will learn Chinese pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary inthe context of important aspects of the culture essential for effective communication.
