ELJ 201 — Modern Japanese Literature
This course will familiarize students with modern Japanese literature throughselected readings of representative authors from the Meiji, Taisho, Showa, andpost-war periods. The class explores, analyzes and interprets literary works insocial and historical backgrounds of contemporary Japan. Authors' artistry judgments will also be discussed.
