ELN 206 — Family School ECE
This writing intensive course introduces students to current research, practices, anddevelopmental experiences of young children (prenatal to age 8), in the context of family,school and community. It addresses cultural, racial, ethnic, income and linguistic diversityand the significance of family diversity, sociocultural contexts and urban poverty for earlylearning. Parent communication, involvement and collaboration are explored. Studentsmust complete 30 fieldwork hours.
