HUA 116 — Introduction to Woodworking

This course in applied design introduces students to the fundamentals of woodworking. Topics include wood physics, shop safety and etiquette, an introduction to joinery concepts and hands-on experience with both hand and machine tools. This is a hands-on projects based course through which the student will be assigned a series of projects to develop core woodworking skills.
