HUC 119 — Non-Verbal Communication
This course introduces students to the basic concepts and theories of non-verbal communication. Topics include haptics, proxemics and chronemics with anintroduction to quantitative/qualitative research methods. Students learn to identify and analyze communication patterns and their effects on the verbal content of interaction. Students develop skills and awareness of how non-verbal communication impacts their lives and are exposed to research in the field while engaging in an undergraduate research project.CUNY Pathways: Flexible Core-Scientific World
