HUM 110 — Introduction to Jazz

This course is an introduction to jazz music, its history, and its various styles. Students will learn the rich tradition of jazz that includes New Orleans brass band culture, dixieland, blues, ragtime, boogie woogie, bop, cool, avant garde, fusion, and orchestral jazz.
