SCH 150 — Drugs & Behavior
This course provides an overview of legal and illegal substances and their effects on society as well as individuals. Drug regulation and criminalization are examined in their historical contexts as well as the roles that psycho-activesubstances have played in various cultures throughout human history. A variety of methods are used to explore such issues as the psychosocial aspects of drug taking; the dynamics of dependence; pharmacology; medical and non-medical use of drugs; preventive measures and treatment.CUNY Pathways: Flexible Core-Individual & Society
