SCH 215 — Social Determinants

This capstone course introduces students to the various socio-cultural, economic, environmental, and structural factors influencing health behavior and outcomes across the lifespan. Theories and models at various levels of influence as a basis for designing health interventions are reviewed. For the final project students will apply a program planning model to propose a needs assessment, health education materials, and evaluation plan for a specific health issue and population.
