SCH 285 — Health and Diversity

This course explores underserved and emerging groups' health disparities from a systems perspective. Concepts of cultural competency, cultural responsiveness, and cultural inclusivity are examined as tools, which respect diversity and center culture, that can be applied to address health disparities. Students will develop a project focused on population-specific health concerns including a prospective culturally-relevant needs assessment.
